This privacy policy explains which personal data La Maison Parfum processes when you visit our website or place an order, why we do so and what rights you have. We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Who we are
La Maison Parfum is the controller of your data.
- Website: lamaisonparfum.com
- Email: support@lamaisonparfum.com
- Postal address: 30 N Gould St, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States
- Our parcels are dispatched from the Netherlands
2. What data we process
- Order details — name, email address, delivery address, billing address, phone number, what you ordered and when.
- Payment details — the payment method and the confirmation of your payment. Your full card or account number never reaches us; our payment provider handles that.
- Account details — if you create an account: your login details and your order history.
- Contact with our customer service — the messages you send us and our replies.
- Technical data — your IP address, device and browser, and how you use our site. This comes from cookies and similar techniques.
- Reviews — the name and text you leave yourself when writing a review.
3. What we use your data for
- Fulfilling your order — payment, shipping, returns and customer service. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
- Our administration — invoices and bookkeeping. Legal basis: legal obligation.
- Improving and protecting our shop — preventing fraud and abuse, and analysing how our site is used. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
- Newsletter and offers — only if you signed up for them. Legal basis: consent. You can unsubscribe from any email in one click.
- Advertising — measuring and targeting our ads. Legal basis: your consent through the cookie banner.
4. Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with parties needed to fulfil your order, and no more than is needed for that:
- Shopify — the platform our shop runs on (storefront, orders, customer accounts).
- MyParcel and the carriers — to deliver your parcel and provide track & trace.
- Payment providers — to process your payment.
- Email and analytics services — to send confirmations and, with your consent, our newsletter.
- Public authorities — where we are legally required to.
5. Transfers outside the EU
Some of our service providers are based outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where your data goes there, it does so on the basis of an adequacy decision of the European Commission or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
6. How long we keep your data
- Order and invoice data: 7 years, because tax law requires it.
- Account data: as long as your account exists.
- Customer service contact: 2 years after the matter is closed.
- Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe.
7. Cookies
We use functional cookies to make the shop work — your cart, your language, your login session. Those are always necessary. We also use analytics and marketing cookies, but only if you consent. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie banner or your browser settings.
8. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access your data;
- have incorrect data corrected;
- have your data erased;
- have processing restricted;
- object to processing based on legitimate interest;
- receive your data in a common file format or have it transferred;
- withdraw consent you have given.
Send your request to support@lamaisonparfum.com. We respond within one month. To protect you, we may ask you to prove your identity.
9. Security
Our shop runs entirely over a secure connection and access to order data is limited to the people who need it for their work. No system is a hundred per cent secure; if you notice anything odd, tell us straight away.
10. Children
Our shop is not aimed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we hold your child's data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes
We may update this privacy policy, for example when we start using new services or when the law changes. The date at the top shows when the latest version was published.
12. Questions or a complaint
Get in touch at support@lamaisonparfum.com. If we cannot resolve it together, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your own country — the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens in the Netherlands, the Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit in Belgium, the competent Landesdatenschutzbehörde in Germany and the FDPIC in Switzerland.
